Notification badges show a dot or count on Home and Drawer icons. Notification Peek is not a separate screen: it appears at the top of a Home icon's long-press menu when that app has an eligible active notification.
How to do it
Enable badges from Home → Icons or App Drawer → Icons and allow notification access.
Choose notification count or app-reported unread total.
Receive a message and leave its notification active.
Long-press that app's Home icon to see up to two newest previews.
Use Open, Reply, Snooze for one hour or Dismiss when Android supplies those actions.
Choose Full, App name only or Off under Settings → Privacy → Notification preview content.
